On behalf of the EU NanoSafetyCluster (NSC), it is our pleasure to share with you the recently published ‘Roadmap towards Safe and Sustainable Advanced and Innovative Materials – (outlook for 2024-2030)’ [DOI:https://doi.org/10.1016/j.csbj.2024.05.018]

With this roadmap the NanoSafetyCluster community have joined forces to supply directions in research to facilitate development of safe and sustainable innovative advanced materials and offers knowledge based on years of nanosafety research.

We would like to inform you and hear your opinion about  identified knowledge needs of  the primary areas relevant to safety and sustainability of both nanomaterials and other innovative advanced materials. You will be informed by our experts about topics as SSbD, validation/harmonization/standardization, data management and AI, governance of safety and sustainability, and communication. For each of these areas overview of current state-of-the-art, unresolved aspects and emerging issues will be presented, as well as the needs to close the gaps within each area.
