The same is true for the explosiveness of flammable powdered nanomaterials. First the flammable nanomaterials and their respective <span class=\"glossaryLink\" aria-describedby=\"tt\" data-cmtooltip=\"cmtt_a97b3032273e3adef4d8c731eae23fe4\" data-gt-translate-attributes='[{\"attribute\":\"data-cmtooltip\", \"format\":\"html\"}]' tabindex=\"0\" role=\"link\">agglomerates<\/span> have to be finely distributed in the air (dust formation). Then, the air-nanomaterial-mixture is ignited resulting in an explosion. Usually, significantly less minimum energy is required to ignite <span class=\"glossaryLink\" aria-describedby=\"tt\" data-cmtooltip=\"cmtt_3ddd56a982b62f20c8279dbc63e14262\" data-gt-translate-attributes='[{\"attribute\":\"data-cmtooltip\", \"format\":\"html\"}]' tabindex=\"0\" role=\"link\">nanoscale<\/span> materials compared to their macroscale form.<\/p>\n<p>Standardised testing methods like <a title=\"DIN EN 13501-(1-6) FIRE CLASSIFICATION OF CONSTRUCTION PRODUCTS AND BUILDING ELEMENTS\" href=\"https:\/\/standards.globalspec.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">DIN EN 13501<\/a> are used to assess the flammability o different materials.
