Recycling-based application of innovative lightweight structures in rail transport
RAILS develops recycling-based lightweight materials for railway applications. Using a luggage rack as an example, the project demonstrates that recycled composites can meet high requirements in safety, mechanical performance, and fire protection. The goal is a significant reduction in weight and CO₂ emissions compared to aluminum solutions.
