Module 1 Materials for Process Efficiency,
With Module 1 (2024 – 2027) the German BMFTR is funding the development of innovative catalyst and membrane materials. The novel or optimised use of these materials is intended to make processes that produce energy and CO2 more efficient and sustainable.
Module 2 Material innovations through sustainable use of raw materials
Research consortia in Module 2 (2025 – 2029), have set the goal of reducing the use of primary raw materials, decreasing dependence on critical raw materials, and lowering greenhouse gas emissions in material production. In addition, negative impacts on people and the environment are to be minimised.
